Would anyone object to changing the blog template to this? The advantage, I think, is we could post links down along the side. Here's an actual example of this design in action.
First of all, why are you posting at 6:23 AM? As for the blog format, I guess it would be nice to be able to post links in that column, but to me it doesn't seem like much of an advantage. If it isn't too hard to switch over, I guess it would be worth it. However, I'd be more interested in using a format like the Philly2dc setup -- one day I'm going to find out how that one was developed.
6:23 a.m. is late. If you wanna win the revolution you have to get up early ;-) I think the links down the side in a column - like in my blog - may get out of hand. Your page looks nice and clean.
If you want to try a different format you could look at Bloglines. The blogs there have a feature that they call 'blogroll' which allows you to put links beside the text. It all comes down to readability. You could remove the 'previous posts' and replace them with weekly/monthly archives which will give you some more room.
You can stick with your current template and still have the list of links, if you want to have it, by hacking the template -- see the things that I've stuck into the sidebar of that same template (above and below the set "previous posts" and "archives' lists):

Ok we'll stick with current set-up, thanks for the comments. Philly2dc is not an e-blogger site, so that's a whole nother magilla.

Woah, thanks fixedgear! How'd you track us down--because we linked to you? How did you trace that?
I can't be giving away all of my secrets, now can I? Because I like you guys and I'm a liberal softie myself, I will tell you to:
Check out Technorati to see who is linking to you.
Then use MyBlogLog to see which of your links your readers are following.
Site meter is good, I like StatCounter for nice reporting tools.
Hope this helps.
